The NBA playoffs are back and with so much happening during the pre-season and regular season this should be quite an end to an unforgettable season of basketball. The first round of the playoffs features some very interesting matchups and sales of NBA playoff tickets are through the roof. If you got tickets and saw a game this year then you know that NBA games are really something to behold. But now, in the post-season, when everything is amped up, each possession could turn the series, and each basket bring the team closer to an NBA Finals appearance, an NBA playoff ticket takes on a whole new level of urgency. If you want to know where to get tickets, I say start with Ticket Liquidator a site with plenty of selection and comparable prices. That is only if you can’t get tickets from Ticket Master, who you can try and buy tickets for face value. But good luck with that because its nearly impossible! Anyway here’s a look at the 2011 playoff matchups for the first round.
The East:
Chicago Bulls Vs Indiana Pacers:
After a stunning performance in last year’s series with the Boston Celtics, the Bulls, led my the dynamic, and probably MVP winner Derrick Rose, came right back into this season roaring to go. They were great all year and ended up with the number one seed in the Eastern Conference and will enjoy home-field advantage all the way to the NBA Finals if they manage to get there. Bulls fans have been ecstatic all year and tickets for the playoffs are moving extremely fast. In the Pavers they face a young and talented team they should not take for granted. Not many could see the Pacers, as an eight seed, beat the Bulls. However the proximity between these two teams will help get the fans in the stands pumped up and the Bulls Pacers series should be a lot of fun if you buy tickets for a playoff game.
Heat vs 76ers:
Entering the season pretty much the only thing you heard on TV and radio concerning the NBA revolved around LeBron James and the Miami Heat. Since “the decision” the pressure has been on the Heat to get to and win an NBA Championship. Miami had their ups and downs, but the team is playing great entering the NBA playoffs. Nobody can hand with them in the talent department, but the playoffs are all about team. SO if anyone is able to beat the Heat it will be because the team plays better. In the 76ers the Heat face a tough opponent, however the young Sixers have to do some more work before they can seriously entertain beating a team like the Heat. But the Sixers are playing playoff basketball again, and that alone is worth the price of NBA playoff tickets for many fans in Philly.
Celtics vs Knicks:
This has to be the most anticipated of the first round matchups, as the historic rivalry of the Knicks and Celtics takes on a whole new meaning when its the playoffs. This is a tough series to call, because even though the Celtics have the experience, they are getting old. And the Knicks have gotten used to playing with Carmelo Anthony, who can do all kinds of thing on the court. The Celtics and the Knicks series has the potential to go the distance, and even though the Celtics have the experience, MSG will be rocking. This series is one you don’t want to miss and Knicks Celtics playoff tickets are about as hot as they come.
Magic vs Hawks:
The Magic have not fared great during the regular season, with a massive restructuring of the team not having the desired effects of the front office. But the Magic are only a year removed from getting to the NBA Finals, and Dwight Howard is a beast with no peer. So the Magic will not be easy to beat. Joe Johnson and the Hawks have been playing very smart basketball, but they might not have enough to get past Howard and the Magic. This is a series that will be competitive for sure, and the fact the Orlando and Atlanta are close should help demand for tickets for sure.
The West:
Long gone are the days when the West stood head and shoulder above the East in terms of talent across the board, but one through eight the Western Conference has more dangerous teams for sure. There are plenty of teams whose fans are buying playoff tickets to watch their favorite western conference teams, and one of them will make it to the NBA Finals.
Spurs vs Hornets:
The San Antonio Spurs won the first seed in the West so will have home field advantage all the way unless they were to meet the Bulls in the NBA Finals. That would be quite a match and 2011 NBA Finals tickets will be very hot in San Antonio should the Spurs make it all the way there. This might end up being the last shot Tim Duncan‘s Spurs have at winning another NBA Championship Rings, and you know Tim wants that one more. Coach Gregg Popovich has done a great job with the Spurs all year and now he gets one last chance to get to the Finals. The Spurs are facing the Hornets and Chris Paul, arguably the most dangerous point guard in the NBA. See who can come out on top and get those tickets right away.
Mavericks vs Grizzlies:
The Mavericks and Grizzlies is an intriguing matchup and this is series should be a lot of fun. You need to get out to the games because these games should be a lot of fun for everyone. Tickets for the playoffs are going to be going fast in Dallas, as the Mavs have been solid this year. There isn’t a team in the playoffs that doesn’t have its questions, so the Mavs could end up surprising some fans. Watching Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavs battle the Grizz will be a blast, so if you can get out there then you should see a lot of fun.
Lakers vs Trail Blazers:
With the Lakers entering the playoffs one a huge loosing streak, many in LA are scratching their heads. but the Lakers have been to the Finals the past two years, and if any coach can get the team to play together and win a third consecutive ring, its Phil Jackson. The Blazers are able to score with anyone at times, and the defense is stepping up. They might be able to steal a few wins, but them getting pat the Lakers is a longshot. Still, the Rose Garden is about as intense a place as there is to play basketball, especially in the playoffs.
Thunder vs Nuggets:
The OKC Thunder have been a blast to watch all year as Kevin Durant has become among the most dangerous teams in a long time. The Nuggets have a bit of Ewing Theory going for them after Carmelo got sent to New York, and they are a feisty bunch. You need to get playoff tickets to watch the Nuggets and Thunder in person because this game is going to be a good one.
All in all there are some really good matchups out there so if you can see your favorite team battle for a NBA Finals appearance then don’t pass up a chance. Just about anything can happen in the playoffs, but you want to be there to see it happen. Make sure you get those NBA playoff tickets right now so that you can see all the basketball action happen live and in person!
